What is ram or computer memory and why do I need it?
Ram is your temporary computer work space .To a great extent, the effectiveness of your computer is related to the amount of ram it has.
When you start a program it is loaded from the hard drive into ram. Then you start clicking away and more programs are running and being loaded onto the ram, all off a sudden your computer is slowing down, dallies, hangs, and freezes. Sound familiar.

Or you can add ram or computer memory.
What kind of ram do I need to buy?
One of the easiest ways that worked for me 99% of the time is, go to Google and type in the model number and after that type in memory upgrade; for example Compaq 2221us memory upgrade.
You will need to do a little bit of surfing and comparison.
Is it ddr /ddr1 same, ddr2, PC3200, PC2700, PC2100, PC2-4200, PC2-5300 AND SOFORTH.
